Every student in Mrs. Bailey’s third-grade class at Wewahitchka Elementary School reached their Accelerated Reader goal for the third nine weeks.

Accelerated Reader (AR) is a program in which students read a variety of books and take a test to earn points. Different books are worth different points.

Mrs. Bailey set each student’s goal at the beginning of the nine weeks and the students had until the end of the nine weeks to reach it.

To motivate students, Mrs. Bailey rewards the students who reach their goal. The rewards vary and can be range from root beer/cream soda floats, extra time on the classroom Kindles, or extra time on the playground.

Since all of her students have met their goal these nine weeks, Mrs. Bailey is planning something special. The students will have an Easter/AR party at the end of March. Mrs. Bailey’s class wants to encourage all students to Read, Read, Read!
