On a cold winter day a sailor met a girl and a spark was lit. The sailor and his sweetheart said “I Do” and made a home with love and fidelity. The sweetheart became a Mama with a baby girl and a family got its start. From Maryland to Virginia the family knew happy shore times and lonely sailor at sea times, news of his son came by telegram to a submarine. In South Carolina the sailor traded his white navy cap for a white painting shirt and created a business and another baby boy followed. Moving down to Florida another daughter came along and the painter traded his white shirt for a white collar and a ministry began. The family grew into generations. Fifty years passed by in a blink. The sailor and his sweetheart still share a home with love and fidelity.
