The Port St. Joe municipal election will be held Tuesday, May 14.

Voting will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET at the Port St. Joe Fire Station behind City Hall on Williams Avenue.

This is a universal election; each voter may cast a vote for every seat on the ballot.

Two seats, Group I and Group II, will be on the ballot.

Commissioners run for two-year terms.

Current Group I Commissioner Bill Kennedy elected not to run again after one term, setting up a campaign between two political newcomers, David Ashbrook and William Thursbay.

Group II incumbent Commissioner Bo Patterson is running for a second term and is facing a challenge from Eddie Fields, another political newcomer.

Mayor/Commissioner Mel Magidson was re-elected to a fourth term after he drew no opposition during candidate qualifying in March.
