A Port St. Joe woman was arrested last week on felony drug charges following a traffic stop.


A Port St. Joe woman was arrested last week on felony drug charges following a traffic stop.



Lilla Dykes, 21, was arrested by Gulf County Sheriff’s deputy Joel Oquendo stopped her vehicle along U. S. 98 in Highland View due to a traffic violation.



Oquendo developed a reason to believe narcotics were in the vehicle and deployed his K-9 partner Marco.



Marco alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics in the vehicle and after a lawful search, Dykes was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and 65 small bags of marijuana ready for distribution.



The total weight of the marijuana was approximately 188.4 grams.



Dykes was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Sell.



She was transported to the Gulf County Detention Facility where she was later released on a $2,000 bond.
