Port St. Joe Jr/Sr. HIgh School

ESE Parent Survey: Each year, the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) surveys parents of children with an individual educational plan (IEP) to determine how well your child’s school is partnering with you and promoting your involvement in your child’s education. All states must collect this data as part of their State Performance Plan, as required under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).  The web-based survey will open Feb. 1. You can complete the survey online at http://www.esesurvey.com or request a paper survey from your child’s school. Your feedback is important in helping the state and local school systems continue improving educational programs for children with special needs. Thank you!

Cap & Gown Portraits will be taken on Thursday, Feb. 13. There is a $15 sitting fee that is payable on the day of the photograph session at Port St Joe Jr./Sr. High School. See Coach Taylor to reserve your appointment time.

Yearbooks continue to be on sale for only $50. Reserve your 2013-2014 copy now. We do not purchase extra copies. See Coach Taylor or a yearbook staff member to reserve your copy.

School Services Week– A Special Thank You goes out to our Gulf County School Counselors, School Nurses, School Psychologists and School Social Workers, who dedicate their efforts to eliminating barriers to learning and provide support so that the vision of college and career readiness can become a reality for all students. Students and families are safer, healthier, happier, more supported and ready to learn because of their expertise and persistence as individuals. Most importantly, they maximize their impact by working together to deliver coordinated and integrated services within a multi-tiered system of supports.

Prom Fashion Show– This year’s show will be held in the school gym at 2 p.m. ET on Friday, Feb. 7. Members of the Junior Class will model the latest in formal fashion. Can spring be far away?
