The Wewahitchka Jr./Sr. High School softball team routed Blountstown and Altha last week to remain unbeaten.


The Wewahitchka Jr./Sr. High School softball team routed Blountstown and Altha last week to remain unbeaten.



The Lady Gators beat Blountstown 11-2 last Wednesday with Ashleigh Price pitching the first five innings of the victory while striking out nine and allowing just three hits.



Brianna Bailey earned the save with two shutout innings, striking out four.



Bailey was 2 for 4 at the plate with a home run and two RBIs and two runs scored.



Naomi Parker was 2 for 4, scored three runs and drove in three, Tara Walding was 2 for 4, scoring three times and driving in two and Shamario Cole was 2 for 2 and scored a run.



The Lady Gators also swamped Altha 15-0.



Parker pitched four innings for the win in the run-rule game, striking out six and allowing no hits.



Parker was also 2 for 3 at the plate, scoring three times. Price had a home run and was 3 for 3, Cole was 2 for 2 with two RBIs and Mariah Brown was 2 for 3 with a run scored.



Bailey was 1 for 2 with two runs scored.



Wewahitchka hosts Vernon at 4 p.m. CT (junior varsity) and 6 p.m. (varsity) Thursday.
