Have you ever wondered what the youth development program 4-H is all about?

Have you ever wondered what the youth development program 4-H is all about?  What does that four-leaf clover represent, what do the Hs mean?  To find out, youth between the ages of 8 - 13 (as of Sept. 1, 2013) are invited to the annual 4-H Blitz on Saturday, March 22.

Whether your child is already a 4-Her or just interested in learning more about 4-H, this is a fun-filled day to explore what 4-H has to offer.  Join other youth from around Northwest Florida to make new friends, discover your potential, gain leadership skills, attend interesting workshops and have fun!  The workshops being offered this year are Team Building, Parliamentary Procedure, Crafts, Fun with Fitness, Science Learning (polymers), and Agriculture Judging.

The event will be held at the UF North Florida Research & Education Center located at 155 Research Road in Quincy.

(Transportation to the event will be provided by the Gulf County Extension Office.)

Pre-registration is required. Contact the Gulf County Extension Office before Friday, March 7 to receive registration forms and more details.

There is no charge for Gulf County youth.

Participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited. Call to register now.

Questions should be directed to Melanie Taylor at 639-3200 or metaylor@ufl.edu.
