Coach Chuck Gannon and staff along with the 2012-13 football team would like to thank all of the Shark fans and boosters for tremendous year. We know we did not win a state championship or even a district title, but the overwhelming support and kind words that were bestowed on this yearís team and program was tremendous.
I want to thank all of our ticket takers for our junior varsity and varsity games. Coach Stacey Strickland and David White, thanks for preparing our field on game days and Greg Layfield and staff for maintaining our field.
A special thanks goes out to Barbara Layfield and her staff for helping feed our young men on game days and several other occasions. Also we want to thank Lee McLemore for helping us with food and drinks on all the away games.
Thanks to our Band of Gold and our junior varsity and varsity cheerleaders for keeping the Shark spirit alive and well.
We want to thank Eddie Martin and our chain crew along with Commander Marty Jarosz and the NJROTC program for presenting the colors.
To our faculty and staff, we want to thank you for all your continued support all year and being there for these young men. The Shark price was definitely seen in all of you during the season.
Mr. Jim Norton and Mr. Jeremy Knappy, we thank you as coaches for letting us do our jobs and supporting us behind the scenes.
Last, I want to thank our coaching staff of Josh Daily, Kenny Parker, Tracy Browning, Willie Smith, Kesley Colbert, Raye Bailey, Bobby Alexander and Kenny McFarland for their hard work and dedication working with these young men. I appreciate their long hours of work and positive attitudes they had with our players. I know the players appreciate the coaches as well.
One last comment to our players Ė in my career this was the most enjoyable team Iíve coached.
