The Wewahitchka Jr./Sr. High School basketball teams traveled to Graceville Dec. 11 and the boys, girls and boys’ junior varsity all fell


The Wewahitchka Jr./Sr. High School basketball teams traveled to Graceville Dec. 11 and the boys, girls and boys’ junior varsity all fell.



The junior varsity boys’ team dropped a 45-17 decision to Vernon. Hunter Hysmith led the Gators with seven points.



The varsity girls were edged 45-42 despite 19 points from Jessica Smith and 12 points from Tara Walding. Mallory Peak pulled down 18 rebounds.



The boys’ varsity lost 82-73.



Raheem Wright led all players with 35 points and 15 rebounds.



Two nights later, the boys’ teams traveled to Sneads and came away with a split.



The junior varsity lost 35-29 with Jeff Hunter and Tanner Harden leading the scoring for Wewahitchka.



The varsity team won 80-64.



Wright had 27 points and 12 rebounds and Clay Sasser added 18 points. Javar Hill had 13 rebounds for the Gators.
