One person was killed in a Thursday night wreck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.


One person was killed in a Thursday night wreck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.



Carl Allene Wilson, 24, of Port St. Joe, was driving northbound in a 1998 Chevrolet Corvette on Gulf County 386 at a "high rate of speed" about 9 p.m. EST when the he failed to negotiate the curve, overcorrected and rolled the vehicle, FHP reported.



He was sent to Bay Medical Center with minor injuries.



Passenger John Paul Tinsley, 23, of Callaway, was killed.



Vanessa Ann Raynor, 22, of Mexico Beach, was sent to Bay Medical Center with serious injuries.



Wilsonwas not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. Both passengers were wearing seat belts. The FHP report said the wreck was alcohol-related but did not elaborate.
