GCSO makes arrest in restaurant burglary

Gulf County Sheriff's deputies arrested a local man Thursday on burglary charges.

At 8 a.m. the owner of the Lighthouse Restaurant in Wewahitchka arrived for work. Upon entering the building she discovered that the cooler and freezer doors were standing open. The cash register had been broken and change scattered on the counter and floor and a laptop computer had been taken. The change, she determined was determined from the restaurant.

Investigators learned that a possible suspect was staying in an abandoned trailer in the Lands Landing area. They located Reese Glendon Forehand at the trailer along with the missing change and laptop computer and he was arrested charged with burglary.
