Winter Bay Day Festival at St. Joseph Bay Preserves
The Friends of St. Joseph Bay Preserves invite you to attend our fourth Winter Bay Day Festival on Saturday, Feb. 6. This event, held at the Preserves Center, will feature a Shrimp Boil, live music, and photo exhibit. On site, sign up for guided tours of the Buffer Preserve as well as birding and astronomy walks.
On backcountry tours, you’ll join experienced guides as they showcase the Buffer Preserve’s ecology and its importance to St. Joseph Bay, one of the most pristine coastal bays remaining in Florida. Birding and astronomy walks are also led by experts.
Guests can dine with a view on the expansive Preserves Center deck overlooking the bay. Our Shrimp Boil will feature local wild-caught shrimp, corn on the cob, potatoes and kielbasa sausage, along with coleslaw, garlic bread and beverages. To completely delight the senses, lunchtime will kick off live musical entertainment with Neil Jones and Jon Copps. A photo exhibit featuring local photographers will also be on site.
The Shrimp Boil will last until the food runs out. There is a suggested $10 donation per meal. All activities are free of charge and weather permitting.
This event is an exceptional opportunity to discover and enjoy the natural splendor of the St. Joseph Bay State Buffer and Aquatic Preserves, as well as partake in sensational food, music and fellowship. We hope to see you there!
The Preserves Center is located 4.5 miles south of Port St. Joe on St. Joseph Bay at 3915 State Road 30A.
