Belin-McDaniel Wedding

Rebecca Ann Belin of Port Saint Joe, Florida and Roy Edmonds McDaniel of Livingston, Alabama were married on Saturday, Oct. 11 at the First United Methodist Church of Port Saint Joe, Florida, with the Rev. Mac Fulcher officiating the 2 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Belin of Port Saint Joe, Florida.  She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Belin of Port Saint Joe, Florida and Barbara F. Smith and the late Dr. Malcom Earl Smith of Fort Walton Beach, Florida.  Becky graduated from Troy University and is employed with the AIM (Abstinence in Motion) Project as an instructor.

Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McDaniel of Livingston, Alabama.  He is the grandson of Dr. Roy R. Hill, Jr. and the late Mrs. Edith B. Hill of Demopolis, Alabama and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Edmonds McDaniel of Livingston, Alabama.  Roy graduated from Troy University and is employed with KW Plastics of Troy.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white taffeta gown with asymmetrical draping that shaped the sweetheart strapless bodice, with a chapel length train.

The bride was attended by Bonnie Belin of Port Saint Joe, Florida, sister of the bride, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Anna Laura Dyer, New Hope, Alabama, college friend of the bride Jenny Dye, Troy, Alabama, friend of the bride, Molly Stanton, Baton Rouge, Louisianna, college friend of the bride, and Leigh McDaniel, Birmingham, Alabama, sister of the groom.

Flower girl was family friend of the bride and groom, Reagan Larkin of Livingston, Alabama.

Father of the groom served his son as best man.  Groomsmen were Chris Burkhalter, Ashland, Alabama, friend of the groom, Justin Hawarah, Troy, Alabama, friend of the groom, David Hawley, Livingston, Alabama, friend of the groom, and Tommy McDaniel, Andalusia, Alabama, brother of the groom.

Ushers were Kyle Boyington, Robertsdale, Alabama, friend of the groom, David Breed, Sebring, Florida, friend of the groom, Brandon Cavell, Dothan, Alabama, friend of the groom, Andrew Jones, Brookside, Alabama, friend of the groom, Ty Jordan, Robertsdale, Alabama, friend of the groom, and J.D. Todd, Ward, Alabama, friend of the groom.

Ringbearer was family friend of the bride and groom, Connor Larkin of Livingston, Alabama.

Phyllis Altstaetter and Deborah Loyless directed the ceremony.  Musicians were organist, Hilda Duren, vocalists, Daniel and Lesley Hubbard, and guitarist, Robert Yoder.

Following a cruise to Mexico the couple will reside in Troy, Alabama.
