Gulf County Sheriff Arrest Log

The Gulf County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting vehicle safety checkpoints and DUI check points during the month of December 2009. The check points will be held throughout the county to include Highway 98 near St. Joe Beach, Highway 98 and Garrison Ave, C-30 Simmons Bayou, Highway 71 North of White City, Highway 22 and Highway 22A, Highway 71 and Westarm Creek, Highway 71 Dalkieth Area and Highway 71 near the Calhoun line

0n 12/05/2009 Michael Lee Harris, 47, was arrested on failure to pay child support warrants from several counties.

On 12/08/2009 Sheena Helena Marie Meredith, 23, was arrested for DWLSR and reckless driving.

On 12/10/2009 Michael Dee Herrell, Jr., 39, was arrested for failure to pay child support.

On 06/19/2009 Brandon Lee Burkett was arrested on two charges of grand theft; it is alleged that he stole some tracking collars from an individual in Howard Creek during November and that he stole a boat motor form the Port St Joe Marina in June.

On 12/13/2009 Roger Wade Childers, 42, was arrested on charges of Driving under the influence.

On 12/13/2009 deputies responded to a domestic disturbance. While speaking with the suspect they noticed several street signs that had been stolen from the Overstreet area. Charles Wayne Smith, 18, was arrested on two counts of grand theft.

On 12/14/2009 deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Douglas Allen Freeman. Further investigation led to his arrest on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On 12/15/2009 Jason Lee Taylor was arrested on a failure to appear warrant; the original charge DUI.

On 12/15/2009 Charles Lamar Goodin, 27, was arrested on several warrants: uttering a forged instrument, worthless checks and grand theft of a firearm.

On 12/15/2009 the Sheriff’s Office concluded a several months-long undercover drug operation in the Wewahitchka area. The Sheriff’s Office along with members of the State Attorney’s Office and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office served several search warrants. During the search warrants approximately nine grams of crack cocaine, four firearms, numerous prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia were found.  Ernest Charles (Midnight) Myers, 54, was charged with five counts of sale of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church, maintaining a dwelling for the distribution of crack cocaine and possession of a controlled substance. Robert Jerome Rouse, 24, was charged with three counts of sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church. Bobbie Jo Kathleen Duke, 21, was arrested on two counts of sale of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church. Earl Wendell Hysinger, 57, was arrested for sale of a controlled substance. Ladarious O’Bryan Myers, 20, was arrested on two counts of sale of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church. Several more arrests are expected as part of this investigation.

On 12/16/2009 Jeremiah Thomas Revis, 23, and Jonathan Robert Adkison, 21, were arrested after a traffic stop when a mobile methamphetamine lab was found in their truck. They were charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of chemical cursers and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On 12/167/2009 Georgia Howard Whitfield, 35, was arrested on a warrant for violation of an injunction for protection.

On 12/17/2009 Timothy William Odom, 46, was arrest for DWLSR.
