Pot, cash seized

The Gulf County Sheriff’s Office and United States Postal Investigators went to an address in Overstreet on Monday afternoon and arrested John E. Brock.

The 45-year-old was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

Several packages containing marijuana were sent to Brock’s residence by mail and when he signed for the packages he was arrested. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests both locally and out-of-state are expected.

Brock was first appeared Tuesday morning and is being held in the Gulf County Jail.

Investigators seized approximately eight pounds of high grade marijuana and $1,800 in cash. The marijuana has a street value of  approximately $3,2000.
