Perfect Answer around the Corner

I would like to share an experience that I recently had that might help others in the future.

After having surgery on my shoulder, I was looking for a place to have physical therapy without having to drive out of town.  That is when I was informed that our local Bridge to Bay facility offered outpatient therapy and I was able to get the physical therapy prescribed there.  This was indeed a great thing but only just the beginning of one!

On March 30 I had both knees replaced and once again needed physical therapy, only this time on a much larger scale.  I would need in house therapy for two to four weeks while staying in a facility. Not wanting to be away from home or my family and not wanting family to drive out of town to seem me, I again found that the answer was our very own Bridge to Bay facility.  This proved to be the perfect answer for me as well as my family.

My stay there was a great experience.  The administration, nursing staff and the therapy department exceeded all expectations.  May I say thank you to Ron Reid, facility administrator, for making my stay there possible. The Physical Therapy staff, especially Joseph and Emily, was wonderful and helped make my recovery as easy as one could hope for. The entire staff (too many to name) from nursing, housekeeping, dietary and others were so encouraging and ready to meet my every need.  Being able to be right here at home cared for by people you know was great.  Having my grandchildren able to visit me and feel like they were still coming to Mimi’s was very comforting.

We are very fortunate to have that type of facility right here to serve our community.  I would recommend that anyone facing similar circumstances as I look into Bridge to Bay.  Just one more thing to be proud of here in our area and one I am certainly thankful for.
