An Open Letter to Commissioner John Reeves

Thank You, Commissioner John Reeves, for the phone call concerning our historical park being demolished one day before the story aired on television and was published in The Star. The demolition of the park on Avenue A saddened me as well as other citizens of north Port St. Joe. John, you stated that you have been pushing for this road for seven years. Let's face the facts, it is not about David Langston at all. It is sad that his death gave you your wish. I see you did not know Mr. Langston. He was truly a blessing to the kids and was dedicated to them and the Norris Langston Foundation. He was also dedicated to the betterment of his community, especially the kids. We are not new comers to Port St. Joe, from children to adults, the community of north Port St. Joe has always known St. Joe Company has all the land. The land we could purchase was very limited if any. Our elected officials must not forget that citizens have rights and must be heard after the elections.
