Maud A. Van Horn Martin
Mrs. Maud A. Van Horn Martin, 105, was born in Laurel Hill, FL. After her marriage to her loving husband, Chris Martin, they resided in Port St. Joe.
In the 1960’s after many years of being a devoted homemaker, she became curator of the Centennial Museum in Port St. Joe, where she retired. She was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Jeff Chris Martin and her daughter, Kathryn M. Branch.
Mrs. Martin will always be remembered for her high soprano and melodious voice. She was a soloist at weddings, in her church choir and many social functions about town. She was an active member of the Port St. Joe Garden Club.
Mrs. Martin loved life, family and her many friends, especially her children. She is survived by her daughter, Ouida “Bunni” Zeigler of Port St. Lucie; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was a cousin to the late Ocycle Munn.
