Mexico Beach police searching for attempted robbery suspect
On January 3, 2012 at approximately 1:50 p.m. CT a white male entered the Centennial bank located at 101 15th street in Mexico Beach and attempted to rob the bank.
The individual did use a weapon and no injuries or money was taken. The male walked into the front door of the bank and up to a teller with a note ordering the teller to give him the money.
The teller told the manager to call the police and the male took the note and walked out the front door.
The male is reported as a white male approximately 6-feet tall and weighing 230 pounds. The male was last seen wearing white tennis shoes, blue jeans, a greyish-blue long sleeve hoodie, with a hat that had an oval design on the front. The male may also wear glasses with dark hair and a few days growth beard and mustache.
