Penamon verdict

A Gulf County jury on Feb. 18 acquitted William Penamon, Jr., 35, of child abuse. He was accused of whipping a child on April 27 to the point of leaving bruises, but the jury deliberated for 25 minutes before finding Penamon not guilty. Assistant Public Defender Janice Scheffer represented Penamon at trial.
