Gulf Coast Community College presents Printmaking Demo and Lecture by Brooke Steiger

Panama City, FL - The Visual & Performing Arts Division of Gulf Coast Community College is proud to announce an upcoming lecture and printmaking demonstration by visiting artist Brooke Steiger on January 22 from 1 – 4 p.m. CT.

Steiger received her Bachelor of Art degree in Visual Arts from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where she also attended the Rhode Island School of Design. There, she studied drawing, visionary illustration, and book illustration. From 1995 to 1996, Steiger attended an international graphic arts school in Florence, Italy, where she studied intaglio, woodcut, and paper conservation. She also holds a Master of Fine Art degree in Printmaking from the University of New Mexico and has been an apprentice to Master Printer Bill Lagattuta at the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She currently lives and works in Albuquerque.  Steiger’s work is characterized by a wide variety of media, techniques and materials.
