A word of thanks for Rocktoberfest

Dear Editor,

Last week I received an award from Covenant Hospice. It is very nice but I don’t deserve this. The people of Gulf County deserve this. This couldn’t have happened without you who for a few hours set aside their differences and help0ed a very deserving charity for those are the people that are in their last days of life make every moment a little more bearable. How do you thank them? To the people that worked the parking lot to make sure any guest that needed help to and from the gate got it. How do you thank them? To the people who cooked all the food and served it, how do you thank them? To the people that worked the bar and then gave their tips to hospice, how do you thank them? To all the people that helped set up and cleaned up and just whatever it took to get the job done, how do you thank them? Well, it’s not necessary for these people; they don’t do this for the words, thank you. They see a need and will work tirelessly to help.

Remember what we do as individuals reflect on what we are as a society and for that I say, Thank You.
