Gulf County Sheriff Arrest Log – Sept. 9

The Gulf County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting vehicle safety checkpoints and DUI check points during the month of September 2010. The check points will be held throughout the county to include Highway 98 near St. Joe Beach, Highway 98 and Garrison Ave, C-30 Simmons Bayou, Highway 71 North of White City, Highway 22 and Highway 22A, Highway 71 and Westarm Creek, Highway 71 Dalkieth Area and Highway 71 near the Calhoun line

On 09/03/2010 deputies responded to a call of a women walking down the street with two knives in her hand. They located Jessica Marie Smiley, 29; she had been involved in a disturbance earlier in the night at a local bar. Deputies attempted to calm her down with no success; she was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct.

On 09/03/2010 Donald Ray Hall, 41, was arrested on a violation of probation warrant; the original charge was felon in possession of a firearm.

On 09/03/2010 a vehicle driven by Matthew Terrance Kolifrath, 24, was stopped for a traffic violation. It was learned that he had a suspended driver’s license and two warrants from Holmes County. He was placed under arrest and taken to the Gulf County Jail.

On 09/04/2010 Robin Miles Whisnant, 31, was arrested for DUI.

On 09/05/2010 Eugene Allen Dykes, 58, was arrested for DUI.

On 09/05/2010 Juan Manuel Zamordo Santillan, 28, was arrested for DWLSR.

On 09/06/2010 Jerry Thomas Gates, 66, was arrested on a violation of probation warrant; the original charge was battery on a Law Enforcement Officer.

On 09/07/2010 Eric Anthony Sims, 23, was arrested for failure to pay child support.
