Gulf County Sheriff Arrest Log - Oct. 13

On 09/27/2011 Shannon Dwayne Causey, 30, came to the sheriff’s office and turned himself in on a child support warrant; he paid his purge and was released from jail.

 On 09/28/2011 Juan Boday Shackleford, 20, stopped a police officer and turned himself in on a sale of cocaine warrant; he posted a $5,000 bond and was released the next day.

On 09/29/2011 Ryan Matthew McDonald, 18, was arrested on a warrant for grand theft and burglary; it is alleged that he stole a bow from an individual shed and sold it for $50.

On 09/30/2011 a vehicle driven by Rex A Buitte, 21, pulled from a side street into the path of a deputy’s vehicle almost causing a crash.  When the deputy stopped the vehicle he saw Buitte switch places with a passenger. The deputy determined that Buitte’s license was suspended multiple times for not paying traffic citations and he was arrested and taken to the Gulf County Jail.

On 09/30/2011 a vehicle driven by Gustave Allen Sander, 33, was stopped after it almost caused a traffic crash by pulling in front of a vehicle on U.S. Highway 98. Sanders was asked to perform several field sobriety exercises which he did poorly on; he was placed under arrest for DUI. Sanders refused to give a breath sample at the jail.

On 10/01/2011 a vehicle driven by Nicole R. Ramsey, 20, was stopped for speeding and driving in the wrong lane. When the deputy made contact with Ramsey she told him she had just run over a mail box.  Ramsey was asked to perform several sobriety exercises which she did poorly on and was placed under arrest for DUI, open container and possession of alcohol by a person under 21. When Ramsey got to the jail she refused a breath test.

On 09/21/2011 Linda Renae Lester, 38, was arrested on a warrant for uttering a forged instrument. It is alleged that she cashed an insurance check issued to her father-in-law and placed it in her personal checking account.

On 10/03/2011 Arthur Desean North, 21, was arrested on a warrant for sale of cocaine within a 1,000 feetof a church. It is alleged that North sold crack cocaine to an undercover operative. He posted a $7,500 bond and was released from jail.

On 10/03/2011 David Dewayne Edwards, 51, was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation the original charge was sale of cocaine.

On 10/03/2011 Darrell Larvon Vann, 37, was arrested on a violation of probation warrant; the original charge was carrying a concealed weapon and he was released after posting a $5,000 bond.

On 10/04/2011 Brent Allen Butler, 23, was arrested on a Franklin County warrant for burglary and grand theft.

On 10/04/2011 Michael Sterling Teston, 34, was arrested on three warrants for failure to appear; the original charges were retail theft.

On 10/06/2011 Robert Dewayne Alderman, 23, was arrested on a Bay County warrant for failure to pay fines.

On 10/08/201 George Walton Simmons, Jr., 50, was arrested on a charge of battery; it is alleged that two individuals were involved in an argument and when the victim attempted to break it up she was struck by George Simmons.

On 10/08/2011 Denise Clark, 32, was arrested on a warrant for introduction of contraband into a state correctional institute.

On 10/10/2011 John Henry Robinson, 45, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant; the original charge was domestic battery.
