Mexico Beach shooting suspects in custody

 

The third suspect, William Redding Hodges of 100 College Avenue in Panama City, was taken into custody early Monday morning. 
The incident happened around 8 p.m. CT Sunday. 
According to police reports, the three individuals entered the home at 130 Circle Drive with the intent to rob King, the resident of that address.  
During the robbery, Daniel attemped to shoot the victim and was pushed out the front door. Daniel then fired a shot through the door, striking the victim in the back.
The three men then fled the scene, with a large amount of cash taken from King. 
The victim's injuries were not life-threatening, and he was treated and released by a local hospital.  
"This was a targeted situation," said investigating officer James T. Hallman, of the Mexico Beach Police Department. "They knew he had a large amount of money with him and cameV over and initiated the shooting."

Three men are being charged with attempted murder and armed robbery after a shooting at a home on Circle Drive in Mexico Beach Sunday night. 

Alex Shay Daniel was arrested early Wednesday morning for the alleged shooting and robbery of 29-year-old victim Derek King. Daniel was found in posession of a .22 caliber Colt target pistol, believed to be the weapon used in the shooting. 

Devion Dewayne Wynn of Springfield was arrested on a felony warrant Wednesday afternoon in Panama City.
