Karissa Thomas, Chad Ellis to wed

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Thomas of Port St. Joe, Ms. Ellen Cormier of Gainesville, FL, and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Loomis of Laurinburg, NC are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children, Karissa Lane Thomas and Chad Aaron Ellis both of Gainesville, FL.

Karissa is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Miller of Tallahassee, FL, and the late Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Thomas of Port St. Joe, FL.

Chad is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Mike of Hawthorne, FL and Ms. Mary Loomis of North Carolina.

Karissa is a 2001 graduate of Port St. Joe High and 2006 Graduate of University of Florida where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a Master of Education degree in Social Studies Education. She currently teaches at Buchholz High School in Gainesville, FL.

Chad is a 2006 graduate of Eastside High School in Gainesville, FL.  He is employed as an electrician at Goodson Electric in Gainesville, FL.

The wedding is planned for June 18, 2011, 5:00 in the afternoon at First United Methodist Church in Port St. Joe. Family and friends are invited to attend.
