Small Town USA
I like living in a small town, the business of neighbors as each family goes about starting their daily routine.
Across the street, a young lady backs out of her drive on her way to her teaching job. This is not just a job to her. As she teaches, she knows she is whetting appetites for learning and opening new horizons for children that they may want to be a part of "making a difference" in the world.
Also a young man is backing out of his drive on his way to a florist shop where he arranges beautiful bouquets of flowers to brighten someone's day. Maybe the flowers are sent to a senior citizen or to a sweetheart with expressions of love or to a new mother who just brought another life into the world.
Another neighbor is moving to a sprinkler hose into the right position to give an extra boost to that special flower bed.
Also there's the neighbor who may be termed a senior citizen. He is getting ready to sow some vegetables to enjoy as well as to share with others. A feeling of contentment and wellbeing comes over me as I think of how I'm blessed to be living in my little spot of "Small Town, USA."
