Boots Up Firefighters

Dear Editor,

A few years back, my wife and I purchased a home on Cape San Blas.  Although we live in Dallas, Texas we visit "The Cape" as often as possible. One of the many treasures I've discovered is the South Gulf County Volunteer Fire Department.  This group of dedicated women and men serve this community proudly.  The pride and professionalism speaks volumes of their service. 

I myself am a firefighter in Dallas, with over 30 years of service. I consider this group of women and men as dedicated to the fire service as any "hose draggers" here I work with.  We as a community need to thank and support the department here in South Gulf County as much as possible.

To my sister and brother firefighters there in South Gulf County...  stay safe and pull your boots up!!!!!
