What is really going on – again?

Dear Editor:

I am a lifelong resident of North Port St. Joe, served two terms on the DRA Board and am involved in other activities in my community. After constantly hearing the city does not have any money, yet the costs of water continues to increase and the water is not drinkable, therefore I am having to buy drinking water, I see no improvement in my community.

Yet I see money spent on things the town can do without such as the lighthouse. The lighthouse needs to stay in the Cape area. In North Port St. Joe the gym can not open because there is no money. The only time we hear promises is during election time. When certain jobs become available they are already filled when it is made known to the public. It is political friends of friends and it is not what you know but who you know. North Port St. Joe hears the same old song – there is no money but money is being spent all over town.

When is North Port St. Joe going to see something?

Thank you,

Annie Sue Fields
