William Henry Blake
Mr. William Henry Blake, 85, of St. Joe Beach, passed away Tuesday night, March 12, 2010 at his home. A native of West Bloctam, AL, he served in the Army during WWII and after his military service, worked for Hayes Aircraft as an electrician. He later worked for St. Joe Container Corporation and retired from there. Mr. Blake was an ordained minister with Living Word of Faith for many years and for the past five years was with Dayspring Ministry.
Survivors include his stepson, James W. Abernathy of Wakulla County; his sisters and brother, Lula Mae Campbell, Dot Pierson, Susie Tillery and husband Wallace, and Charlie Blake and wife Valerie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funerals service were held at 2 p.m. EDT Tuesday, March 16, at Beach Baptist Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David Nichols and the Rev. Davis Sizemore.
Interment followed in the family plot in Holly Hill Cemetery. He lied in state at the church for an hour prior to the service.
All services are under the direction of the Comforter Funeral Home.
