This past Saturday, the GFWC Wewahitchka Woman's Club "Bagged for Bucks" at Rich's IGA in Wewahitchka. This most recent fundraiser was to help raise funds for some of the Club's signature projects: The patriotic flag program, scholarships, Coats for Kids and libraries, just to mention a few. It was a tremendous success and in addition to bagging groceries, the ladies actually took the groceries to cars, sold their Commemorative Plates, Cookbooks, and homemade goodies baked by our ladies. The Club would like to thank David Rich for his support of our efforts in the Community.
Please check out the Club's new website: www.GFWC Wewahitchka Woman's Club.com It contains a listing of our upcoming projects which include a BUNCO Tournament January 23rd at the Fish House in Mexico Beach and a partnership with the Friends of the Library for a Groovy Kind of Love themed dinner/dance Feb. 4 at the Centennial Building in Port St. Joe. In addition, there is a link to our improved Facebook page. Please like us and follow the activities of the Club.
Meetings are monthly, at 6 p.m. CT on the second Tuesday at Glad Tidings Church. Anyone interested in the Club, please join us at the next meeting.
