Wewahitchka Elementary School last week honored 21 of its “shining” students, because of their “shining” performance on the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) for the 2015-2016 school year.

Wewahitchka Elementary School last week honored 21 of its “shining” students, because of their “shining” performance on the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) for the 2015-2016 school year. These students scored a “5” in Math, Science and/or English/Langauge Arts (ELA).

The students honored were: Zoey Ake, Jalyann Badillo, Leah Beene, Emma Birmingham, Sadie Calareso, Ryan Coxwell, Keersten Easter, Laiken Ferrell, Alana Helms, McKenzie Hickman, Wyatt Husband, Adelle Mahoney, Drake McGlon, David McLemore, Logan Pickron, Jordan Pippin, Conner Roberts, Jaden Roberts, Logan Taylor, Ashley Thompson, and Jailyn Williams.

Two of the students, Jalyann Badillo and Leah Beene, received a perfect score in mathematics. Neither student missed a single problem.

All students received a certificate, a letter from Gov. Rick Scott, and they also received a $5 bill for each area of achievement. Afterwards, the recipients and their family members enjoyed a nice reception and partook of delicious goodies.

The students’ outstanding performance was highlighted by Principal Tracy Bowers and Principal Designee Renee Lynn. It was a bright and beautiful moment for all!
