1938- The Port St. Joe Paper Mill begins operation.

1944- Gulf County exceeds its quota for a Red Cross War Fund drive. The county collected $4891.20

1954- Grand opening of the Piggly Wiggly on 3rd and Williams

1967- A 450 pound U.S. Weather Bureau ballon crashed outside Port St. Joe. The weather instrument had taken off from Palestine, Tx. and was destined for South Carolina.

1978- A 750 acre wildfire destroys a home at St. Joe Beach.

1986- Ward Ridge begins the process of being absorbed into Port St. Joe.

1995- Frank Pate Park is dedicated.

2003- The Port Theatre is nominated to be placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
