1940- Census worker B.W. Eells Jr. finds a 110 year old woman in White City. Martha Woodley stated that she was born into slavery in Gadsden County in 1830. Woodley had 17 children, the last being born in 1885.

1954- Bids were collected on what would become the Constitution Convention Museum.

1967- PFC James F. Tindell was killed in action in Vietnam. He became Gulf County’s first casualty from that war.

1974- Bubba Harmon pitches two consecutive no-hitters for Port St. Joe Jr. / Sr. High.

1986- Verre “Tweeta” Gaskin was selected to be the Gulf County Teach of the Year. Gaskin was a first grade teacher at Wewahitchka Elementary.

2006- Sale of the Port St. Joe Marina is finalized between the city and the St. Joe Company.
