We would like to offer my deep appreciation for your support of science enrichment classes for the children of Gulf County. Your support facilitated a productive partnership between The Science Seed, the Corrine Costin Gibson Memorial Library in Port St. Joe and the Charles Whitehead Memorial Library in Wewahitchka.
In 16 hour-long science classes, we were able to serve nearly 200 children and caregivers, with hands-on experiential learning about topics in chemistry (States of Matter, Absorption and Diffusion) physics (Balance, Flight, Sink or Float), and earth science (Decomposition, Volcanoes, The Water Cycle, The Rock Cycle, and Magnets).
We've attached some photos below so that you can see just how much fun the children had while learning about important concepts in science. The lab coats and safety glasses were provided through additional funding from the Library Friends organization.
We would welcome the opportunity to present another series of hands-on science enrichment classes at out public libraries.
Thank you for supporting us in presenting high-quality children's learning and literacy programs for the children and familes of Gulf County!
