1938- Construction is underway on what would become the Centennial Building in Port St. Joe.

1947- Camp Gordon Johnston, located in nearby Carrabelle is sold. The 775 acre property housed an Army training center during World War II and was sold for $44,338.

1951- Contracts are announced for a $25 million expansion of the paper mill in Port St. Joe. The expansion came in the form of a 100,000 square foot box plant.

1968- Work is completed on a new Wewahitchka High School.

1985- Joel Strait of Port St. Joe builds a prototype flying-fishing boat.

2002- Warehouse No. 1 of the Port St. Joe paper mill is torn down.
