Can you play Santa? Or, how is your Elvis impersonation?

Auditions are set for the Panhandle Players' holiday production of Christmas Belles, at the Chapman Auditorium, Sunday, Sept. 24, at 5 p.m. ET, and again on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m. The Chapman Auditorium is at U.S. Highway 98 and 14th Street in Apalachicola.

Director Gina Vicari will be looking for four men and seven women for this frolicking Southern farce involving a church Christmas program that spins hilariously out of control with squabbling sisters, family secrets, a surly Santa, a vengeful sheep, and reluctant Elvis impersonator.

Seasoned actors are appreciated, and those with little or no stage experience are welcome also. Auditionees will be asked to do a cold read from the script, showing good voice projection, clear enunciation, and a desire to be funny and have fun. Rehearsals will run through October and November, with performances scheduled for Dec. 1, 2 and 3.
