Whether you need relief from arthritis pain or just want to be active, the Arthritis Foundation’s Walk With Ease program can help! Unlike many other walking programs, Walk With Easeoffers support, information, and tools to help you. The program will teach you how to safely make physical activity part of your everyday life.

Walk With Ease has shown to:

Ø Reduce the pain and discomfort of arthritis.

Ø Increase balance, strength, and walking pace

Ø Build confidence to be physically active

Ø Improve overall health

The Walk With Ease group meets for six weeks, three time per week at the Port St. Joe Senior Citizens Center on Library Drive next to the county courthouse. Each session last about an hour and is designed to be fun for group members. The leader begins with a brief discussion on a topic important to successful walking or arthritis management, and then the group shares walking time, with everyone walking at his/her own pace. The class is designed for individuals 60 and over, and class size is limited, so sign up now!

Classes begin Oct. 9 and meet three days a week for one hour through Nov. 17.
