A 30-year-old man is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being shot Monday night on Grand Caillou Road in Houma, police said.

Officers responded shortly after 9:45 p.m. to the 900 block of Grand Caillou, where the victim's vehicle was, Houma Police Chief Dana Coleman said in a news release. The victim was transported to an unidentified hospital.

Coleman said the victim and suspect had gotten into an argument in a parking lot in the 1000 block of Grand Caillou and then left in separate vehicles. Investigators have not yet identified the suspect.
