Does a piping hot bowl of award-winning chicken or seafood gumbo prepared by Chef Maggie Ray sound good to you? That, alongside a crisp tossed salad, warm French bread and butter, with a deliciously decadent dessert, and beverage of your choice can be your dinner fare 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. ET Tuesday, Feb. 13 at the fourth annual St. James’ Episcopal Church Mardi Gras Gumbo Festival! You’ll also be treated to live, lively music by the Port St Joe Mighty Fine Band whose repertoire includes something for everyone to enjoy. Tickets are $14 per person and that includes everything, plus your chance to win some wonderful door prizes, too!

Tickets are going fast, so get yours now by calling the church office at 227-1845. You can also leave a voicemail at that number and we will contact you at convenient time.

The St. James’ Episcopal Church Women’s group would love to have your support by attending this event. All proceeds go toward helping ECW reach out to help others in need in our community, around the US, and around the world. Your support in the past has put food on tables and presents under the Christmas trees of local families, and has equipped with survival skills those living in poverty ridden countries, delivered disaster relief for hurricane victims both near and far, and provided preventive medical care to many who lack those resources. These are only a few examples of what ECW can do with your help!

So, Laissez les bon temps rouler! Have a grand time celebrating Mardi Gras with great food, cool music, and good clean fun! Put on some purple beads and let yourself go! See you in the parish hall at St James Episcopal, 800 22nd St, Port St Joe, on Feb. 13.
