Dear Editor,

The article in The Star regarding gthe support of Mrs. Sharon Tillman Gaskin for the historical Gulf County Courthouse in Wewahitchka is greatly appreciated.

Former Commissioner A.B. Traylor and I went to Tallahassee to the Legislature to obtain funds for the repair of the Courthouse. With the funds received Fisher Construction replaced the roof.

Mrs. Gaskin leased a portion of the upstairs later as the county offices moved out, and she renovated it. She later leased and renovated additional space. For Mrs. Gaskin now to offer to take opver the entire Courthouse, maintain and enhance the building is outstanding. This is a win-win situation with the historical landmark being properly maintained at no cost to the county taxpayers.

From one Wewa native to another, an excellent job well done --- thanks, Sharon.
