Dear Editor,

In my letter to the editor last week entitled "Monkey Business" concerning the July 24 BOCC meeting I misquoted Mr. McDaniel saying that Bay and Franklin counties held morning meetings. The statement was actually made by Mr. Hammond. To Mr. Hammond's credit he said something to the effect that County staff had no problem with having evening meetings.

Fellow voters this still leaves the ball in BOCC's court as far as effectively barring participation by working Gulf county citizens.

The number of participants is immaterial; the discrimination is evident.

In regard to the BOCC indifference to county-wide voting I say again that adding a 6th District, that being the Cape San Blas Indian Pass area would give those of us who live here a stronger voice.

Remember this area provides millions in taxes and tourist spending to the County.
