Orlando Varnal Andrada Obituary
Orlando Varnal Andrada, age 84, of Port St. Joe, Florida passed away on February 8, 2012 at the local nursing home. He was born on August 14, 1927 in Ivisan, Capiz, Philippines to the late Rafael and Fidela Andrada. He was Catholic by faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his older sister Thelma Andrada Uvas, all from the Philippines. He was a kind and gentle soul and his family was his only life. He was an accountant by trade and worked 45 years at Litton Textile Mills in Pasig City, Philippines. He was known to his co-workers as “Mang Orly”, he was a hardworker and a dedicated employee. He loved to watch sports such as boxing and basketball. After he moved from the Philippines to the US, he lived in San Francisco for 16 years and settled in Port St. Joe 6 years ago to be with his daughter.
He will be remembered in love and memories will be cherished by his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Romula Villarruz Andrada who was his soul mate since elementary school; his sister Emma Andrada Soriano of Cebu City, Philippines; brother Renato (Jovy) Andrada of Paranaque City, Philippines; brother-in-law Luis Uvas of Ivisan, Capiz, Philippines; children May Andrada Fuze, Rolando (Naty) Andrada; grandchildren Christopher (Shannon) Fuze of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Philipp Fuze, Raymond Robles Andrada, Cathlyn Robles Andrada of Port St. Joe, Florida, Catherine Robles Andrada of Marikina City, Philippines; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews all over United States and the Philippines.
Services will be by cremation and a funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. ET at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port St. Joe, Florida officiated by Rev. Fr. Phil Fortin.
Due to the proximity of close relatives, memorial services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Ministries of Port St. Joe.
All services are under the direction of the Comforter Funeral Home.
