The Bridge at Bay
The Residents of The Bridge at Bay St Joe, a Serenity Healthcare facility, have put their heads together and started their own newsletter. Each week the resident committee meets to discuss and plan the newsletter. It consists of all the happenings within the facility, birthdays, upcoming events, and special stories/poems from residents. It’s the talk of ‘The Bridge’.
We have many events planned for this month, including pie tasting, a watermelon seed spitting contest, the new Expresso café, and our resident birthday party. The birthdays we will be celebrating this month range from age 52 to 102!!
Our theme for the month of August is The WILD WILD WEST. The facility is decorated with horses (not the real kind of course), boots, cactus, and fences. Residents are not however, going to be “fenced” in on August 26 (3pm-5pm). They will be at the OK Corral (Dining Room) for a showdown! Our cowpokes will enjoy western food, games, and just good ole’ fun! So if you’re passin’ through, come water your horse, and join the posse.
We are always looking for volunteers, so if you would like to help with activities or just want to visit from time to time, our residents would love to have you. Give us a call at 229-8244
