Kerigan Marketing Associates, Inc., a Port St. Joe-based advertising agency, was awarded 10 Gold ADDYS and six Silver ADDYS in the annual competition of the American Advertising Federation held last Saturday night at the St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club.
But before the gala had ended Kerigan also shared in a special “Judges Choice” award presented to Florida State University-Panama City for its “Now Admitting Freshmen” campaign. Kerigan Marketing serves as agency of record for the university and produced the 30-second television spot.
Kerigan earned Gold ADDYS for clients from Gulf and Bay County but also as far away as NC and LA, including The Eye Center of North Florida website, Uretek Mid-Atlantic website, Orthopedic Surgery Center website, The Atchafalaya Golf Course website, Metro Golf Academy website and their mobile website for Gulf Coast State College Digital Viewbook. The firm also earned gold for a Gulf County Tourism animated banner ad that ran on the TripAdvisor website and for their design of the 2012 Gulf County Discovery Guide brochure. Local photographers including Thom Baird and Debbie Hooper were credited for their participation in the work.
Silver ADDYS were presented to Kerigan for the Foster Parents brochure for Life Management Center, Frazee Recruiting Consultants of LA for a Facebook promotion, and Bone & Joint Clinic of Baton Rouge 30-second television spot titled, “New Season.” A mini website designed for Port Cottages of Port St. Joe was also among the Silver ADDY winners.
Jaclyn Kerigan, a senior at Port St. Joe High School, was the only high schooler to win in the student category with college student entries from FSU and Gulf Coast State College. Her two-minute YouTube video promoting “The Artery: A cool find on the coast” won a Silver ADDY.
“This year was interesting to me because the shift in our work became so apparent, and that shift is toward digital,” said owner, Jack Kerigan. “Seven of our 10 gold were for websites, mobile sites, email marketing and banner ads. Three of the six silver awards were for websites, Facebook contests and email marketing. The judges clearly liked Catherine Lynn’s design and Bryan Baird’s programming.”
“Even with all of the web work I am very proud that we were recognized in so many areas,” said Kerigan. “We are consistently the firm that wins for websites, TV spots, printed brochures, even posters. I believe that understanding of an integrated marketing approach is what builds business for our clients and that’s what matters most to all of us.”
The next closest competitor earned four gold awards; all of the winning work, including the TV spots, can be viewed at www.keriganmarketing.com. Kerigan Marketing Associates, Inc. is a five-person agency specializing in destination marketing and professional services.
