Happy Chinese New Year/ Gung Hei Fat Choi

Third grade students at Wewahitchka Elementary School recently learned about the Chinese culture and customs in North America.  Over the past week, Ms. Bentley’s, Mrs. Taylor’s, and Mr. Huft’s classes, learned about the Lunar or Chinese New Year customs. Students made lanterns, drums, and masks. Our week of study culminated in our own version of a Dragon Parade.   The students paraded around the campus inside our Dragons and beating in the Year of the Tiger with our drums.
