Make a Choice

Have you read the word each day this week?

Did you find something new or did you seek?

I’ve read Psalm I and heard it read, too.

But it hit me this week what a man must do.

You can’t hobnob with sinners and stay close to God.

Not in the world in which we trod.

To stay in tune with God we must read and pray.

If we don’t we’ll surely stray.

The word says meditate day and night.

This is why the world’s not right.

Will you be like the tree that bears fruit in its season,

Or like the ungodly trying to give a reason?
