Jones Seeks PSJ Commission Seat

2008-05-07 14:51:00

Keith L. "Duke" Jones has announced his intention to seek the office of Port Saint Joe City Commissioner, Group III. Jones, a native of Gulf County, believes he is best qualified to serve the citizens of Port Saint Joe. "I care about Port Saint Joe very much because it is my home, and I believe I have gained the experience to best help lead this City. I assure you no one will work harder for the taxpayers in the City of Port Saint Joe," said Jones.

Keith L. "Duke" Jones was born in Port St. Joe and attended Highland View Elementary before graduating with honors from Port St. Joe High School. He later graduated Florida State University with an accounting degree. He is professionally licensed as a CPA. He has over eighteen years experience in both the public sector and in private industry. He returned home to Gulf County in 1997 and has resided in Port St. Joe for the past ten years.

Jones promises to treat every citizen in the City of Port Saint Joe equally and will not be influenced by special interests. He will carefully study each and every issue brought before him as a City commissioner; always voting for what he believes is in the best interest of the City and its citizens. Sound financial management of the City, as well as accountability, will be the bedrock of his campaign.

He believes he is uniquely qualified to serve the City of Port Saint Joe as a commissioner. "I grew up here and I am excited about the challenge of making the City an even better place to live. I believe I've gained the professional experience, I know the people in the City and I am committed to giving them my very best," says Jones. "I would like to ask the voters of the City of Port Saint Joe to consider me for commissioner." Jones says he welcomes input and can be reached at 229-1040 or Keith@keithjonescpa.com.
