Easter Bunny Needs Your Help in Gulf County

Easter is coming and there are Gulf County residents who need food and children who need an Easter Basket.  YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

The St. Joseph Bay Country Club, People Helping People and the Gulf County Sheriff’s Department are joining efforts to collect donations of Easter Baskets and nonperishable and canned food.  Nonperishable and canned food and Easter Baskets can be dropped off at the St. Joseph Country Club, People Helping People’s office, 401 Peters St, the Gulf to Bay Construction office, 1934 State 30 at Simmons Bayou, or the Sheriff’s office from March 21 through March 31.  Cash donations can be made to People Helping People for hams, sweet potatoes, or perishable vegetables that will be added for the Easter meals. Call Jerry Stokoe at 899-9419 for pickup of any items or call Pat Hardman at 229-7799 for more information.

The Gulf County Sheriff’s Department deputies will play the role of the Easter Bunny’s Helpers, and they, along with People Helping People volunteers will deliver the food and Easter Baskets before Easter.

St Joseph Bay Country Club will be offering golfers, members and non-members a $5 discount per round of golf from March 21 to March 31 for any golfer bringing in an Easter Basket or five cans of food or nonperishable items. Piggly Wiggly, Family Dollar and Dollar General stores in St Joe will have donation containers available for you to help.

Please be involved and give so that children will have food and the Easter Bunny will come visit them this Easter.  Thank you in advance for your help.
