Wewa Gets a New Ambulance
Last Wednesday, Bay Medical Center of Panama City donated a rescue truck to Wewahitchka Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The truck will enable crews in Wewahitchka to upgrade their responder vehicle, which is often used in automotive accidents to safely remove victims of a crash from the vehicle.
At last Wednesday's ceremony, Bay Medical EMS Director Corky Young said he was happy to assist the hard working members of Wewahitchka EMS.
"We had an opportunity to help out a neighbor and we were happy to do it. When emergency services teams work well together, it is better for the community."
